33 years of historyThe same essence, without the same mistakes

Nuestra historia

The milestones that define us

1993
The origin, Buenos Aires

We founded Varlion in June 1993 in Argentina, with our own factory from the very first year. While everyone else was manufacturing in Asia, we chose to do it ourselves.

1995
The Lethal Weapon

We designed the world’s first oversize racket at 26 cm wide, when all rackets at the time were 24 cm.

1999
The factory arrives in Spain

We moved production to Spain. 3D design, automated manufacturing, and the launch of the world’s first racket with carbon fiber on the face: the LW Carbon.

2003
Historic sales record

The LW Carbon 3 model became the best-selling racket in padel history: more than 60,000 units sold in Spain over a decade. This milestone is why, even today, this racket is still known as “the iconic one”.

2006
New factory in Alcalá de Henares

We invested €2.5M to build a 3,500 m² facility equipped with robotics, CNC technology, and our own design department. It was the brand’s biggest industrial investment to date.

2013
Diffuser Technology

Inspired by Formula 1, we launched the first racket with an aerodynamic diffuser in the heart. A turning point in the performance of padel rackets worldwide.

2015
Econaked: paint-free racket

We reduced the use of paints and solvents by 80%. High-end rackets are shown as they are: exposed carbon, with no artifices. Honesty turned into aesthetics.

2018
25 years and more innovation

We celebrated 25 years of history with one of our greatest innovations: rackets adapted to playing temperature (W for cold, S for heat) and the birth of Summum technology. We moved the factory to Paraguay.

2020
Resisting the pandemic

With the factory closed due to COVID, we opened a new one in Spain in record time. The launch of the Prisma frame marked another step forward in our own technological evolution.

2022 — 2025
Years of restructuring

A period of profound internal changes that would test the present and future of the brand.

2026 — HOY
The new era begins

We founded Varlion Classic with (almost) the same team as always. In-house manufacturing in Madrid, artisanal production, and renewed values: honesty, respect, and a genuine commitment to padel.
