In many ways, yes. Varlion Classic is led by Teresita García and her children — the co-founding family of Varlion in 1993 — together with the team who manufactured the rackets for decades. What we have done is bring back the original essence of the brand: in-house manufacturing in Spain, artisanal quality, and the respect for padel that has always defined us.
That said, Varlion Classic is not exactly the same as Varlion as it exists today. Part of the brand’s history was left behind, along with some people who chose a different path. We have chosen to return to the origins — to what worked, and to the values that should never have changed.

Because it represents a return to what is essential. “Classic” reflects our commitment to the original way of doing things — in-house manufacturing, attention to detail, and respect for craftsmanship. It is also a reminder that true innovation often comes from understanding and preserving what has always worked.
We are a family-run company. At the helm is Teresita García, co-founder of the original Varlion and the driving force behind the project. She is joined by her children — Facu, Vicky, and Gonchi — each contributing their vision in different areas of the brand. In addition, a large part of the technical and factory team who worked at Varlion for many years has returned to join this project. If you know the brand, you are likely already familiar with the people behind it.
As it has always been done, we manufacture our high-end rackets in Madrid, Spain, and the remaining ranges — advanced and mid-range — in China.
